Not massively happy with the colour scheme on this but I don’t think I really had a choice!
Excellent film, possibly the best intro to a film I’ve seen in a long long time!

Far too long between updates (something I shall attempt to remedy in the coming weeks). On the plus side, i now have a backlog of pop-consumables to draw upon for the next installment.
To the piece at hand though, and this is a cover for Philip K. Dicks Ubik. I tried to emulate the vintage sci-fi look with a pre-distressed treatment to the whole thing, which worked rather successfully and I shall most likely be using again. In the art i tried to convey the fidgity and paranoid tension of the novel as well as a stronger more sci fi overtones. Overall, pretty happy with it.
More soon.
Two in as many days, starting to clear the backlog of movies i’ve watched (although i added two more to the pile this weekend: Babel and Nick & Norahs Infinite Playlist – expect posters sometime soon). I nearly resorted to a bowling pin – which would only make sense if you have seen the film – but decided in the end for something more obvious, and matching the focused tone of the movie.

I feel I ought to have posted something by now, so here is my first piece of new media consumed this year. Although technically it’s not that new because i bought it last fall but only got around to watching it on Jan 3rd this year. In my mind this would be the slipcase to a Criterion edition…

A book I read whilst waiting to be called for jury service – quite apt. We found our defendant not guilty.
